The Standard Grill

I had a great lunch experience at a beautiful place, its called " The Standard Grill. " Yes! it is in the Standard hotel right by the Highline park.

この間、素敵な場所で美味しランチと、楽しい時間を過ごした。そのレストランの名前は、The Standard Grill ハイラインパークの横にあるスタンダードホテルの中にあるよ。

We sat at a table outside. it was a good choice for a beautiful fall day. We can watch people visiting from all over the world passing by in front of us. If the weather is nice, I definitely recommend a table outside.

 この日私達は、外のテーブルに座ったんやけど、これが、天気もいいし、そして、世界中からニューヨークに来ているオシャレな人達がこのレストランの前を通るから、オシャレウォッチングが楽しかった。天気がよければ、この外のテーブルをおすすめするわ。

The food was excellent! Hubby had a lobster roll and I had a po boy sandwich. I am not usually a fan of deep fried food because I feel heavy after I eat. I usually can't finish all the food I order at a restaurant because the portions are too huge here in USA for me... When I saw this po boy sandwich and potato chips, I thought, "wow too much food for me! I don't think I can eat it all!" But I almost ate everything! And I didn't feel heavy afterwards. I can tell they are using good, fresh oil. The french fries and potato chips were just the right crispy. We will definitely come back to this place.

夫は、ロブスターサンドウィッチ。私は、白身魚のサンドウィッチをオーダーしたんやけど、この白身魚は、揚げてあって、私は揚げ物を食べた後の胃がヘビーになるあの感じが好きじゃなくて、普段あんまり揚げ物を食べないし、アメリカサイズって大きいから、レストラン行っても完食出来る事が少ないねんけど、こんな大きいサンドウィッチやのに、ほぼ完食した！しかも、揚げ物やのに、軽い！ほんとに良い新鮮な油を使っているんやなと実感出来た良いレストランやった。絶対またこのレストラン行く！
