This summer, I am planning to take my son back to my hometown, Shiga prefecture Japan which is near Kyoto. He is going to go to summer school in Japan to experience Japanese culture and language. During this time, I decided to open a pop-up hair salon in Kyoto. I'm living in the US for 18 years and I don't have any clients in Japan but I am active on social media. I wanted to try and see if I can bring people to the pop-up salon. I planned a New York inspired Hair event pop-up salon and sold out in less than one week after I announced it on my social media sites. I am happy and really appreciate those who made an appointment for this event. I started to use social media about three years ago and It finally seems to be moving towards the direction that I would like it to be. Work is really important for my life and I like to work. My dream job is to work doing what I love to do, work from where ever I am, and work with the people I love. I started to use social media as a step to help create my dream job. Many of you who read this blog are mothers. You can't work as much as before and are so busy raising your child right? Do you have a dream job? If you do and you haven't begun to do anything to go in the direction, Why don't you start to use social media to show what you are good at? Maybe it will change your life. If you don't try you will never know what will happen!

今年の夏は、息子を私の家族が住んでいる滋賀県に連れて行きそして、そこで、保育園に３週間ほど通わせて、日本の文化や、日本語を学んでもらおうと計画しています。滞在期間も４週間と長いので、私も日本で何かチャレンジしたいなという気持ちから、２日間の期間限定サロンを京都にて開催することにしました。私はアメリカ在住１８年で、もちろん日本には誰一人お客様がいない状態です。ですが、このRock Mama NYCをはじめ、インスタグラムなどでも、日本にたくさんのフォロワーさんがいらっしゃる為、勇気を出して、期間限定サロンを計画しました。このサロンは、美容だけではなく、ニューヨークの風を体験してもらおうというニューヨーク＋美容なイベント。告知から１週間以内で予約が完売し、感謝、感激です。SNSをアクティブに始めて約３年。やっと少しずつ自分のやりたいことが出来るようになるかな？とワクワクしています。仕事って人生の中でとても大切なもの。その仕事を自分の好きなこと、好きな場所、そして、好きな人達とやりたい。その思いが私がSNSを始めるきっかけでした。これを読んでい頂いている方々はお子様をお持ちの方々も多いと思います。思うように仕事ができないですよね？すごく良く分かります。自分でSNSを使い世の中に発信することにより、何か道が開けるかもしれません。もし、今は子育てが忙しく仕事などできないけど、やってみたいことがある方！そして、まだ、その夢に向けて何も手つかずの方！手始めにSNSで自分の好きなこと、思っていることを発信し始めてはいかがですか？やってみないことには何もわからない。やってみたら人生が変わることもある。チャレンジすることが大切！
