Things To Do During the Winter With Kids In the Flatiron District

Winter is freezing and long in the city. Kid's can't play at the park all day long. I'm always looking for indoor play space in the city for my energetic 6 years old son. I would like to share some of my ideas of things to do during the winter with kid's in NYC. This post, I would like to share some things to do in the Flatiron district.
ニューヨークの冬は極寒なうえに長い。あまりにも寒すぎて公園で遊ぶこともあまり出来ないので、冬場はいつも息子を連れて遊びに行ける寒くない場所を探しています。この冬はこのブログにて何回かに分けて私がリサーチしたニューヨークでの子供の遊び場の紹介をしたいと思います。今回はフラットアイロンエリアでの遊び場の紹介です。
Fancy Plan (over $100)
Did you know that sometimes Eataly offer kid's cooking class? They also offer Eataly tour for kid's. I'm interested to send my son to the cooking class when he is old enough to learn fancy cooking class. They offer the class for age 8-12. The cooking class fee $65-$90. The market tour is $25.
みんな大好きな大人気なイタリアンマーケット＆レストランEataly で子供のクッキングクラスがあるのをご存知ですか？私達はまだ挑戦したことはないですが、息子がもう少し大きくなったら参加してみたいなと思っています。その他にも子供向けのマーケットツアーも開催されています。クッキングクラスは８歳から１２歳が対象で価格は$65-$90です。
Drop-Off Plan ($60)
Drop-Off Pajama Party by Project Playdate at City Treehouse I'm always curious about drop-off night time playdate for my son. 6:30pm-9:30pm $60
ニューヨークでは週末の夜に、子供達だけで３時間程楽しい時間を過ごすパーティーをパジャマパーティーと呼び、運営しているところがあります。そうすれば両親が少し時間が出来て外出する事が出来るからね。これは本当にありがたいです。フラットアイロン近くにあるCity Treehouseでは、このパジャマパーティーが時々開催されていて、息子も大喜びです。マンハッタン、ブルックリンのいろんな場所でこのパジャマパーティーが開催されていますよ。価格は6:30pm-9:30pmの３時間で＄６０（子供のディナー付き）です。
Moderate plan (Around $25)
Play at National Museum of Mathematics.
I have been to this place. My son had a lot of fun but many activities and games require the ability to read instructions. My son is 5 years old and he is not able to read well enough to understand the whole concept. Regardless, we had a good time and will be definitely going back there when he gets old enough to read and understand the concepts more. Entrance fee is $15 for adult and $9 for child.
数学博物館という名前だけ聞くと、あまり面白くなさそうな場所に聞こえますが、数字、形、時間などに関する色々なアクティビティやゲームがあり、子供達が大好きな場所です。小さい子供でも遊べるものは色々ありますが、説明文を読んで理解できるともっと楽しい場所だと思います。うちの息子がここに行った時は５歳だったので、訳も分からずにやっていたゲームがいくつかありました。入場料は大人$15 子供$9です。
Free Plan
My son loves watch movie and reading books. Book of wander is historical child book store since 1980. They hosts free weekend storytimes and readings by top children's authors. Free story time is Saturday 11am and Sunday 11:30 am.
うちは家にテレビがないんですよ：）そのおかげかどうかは分かりませんが息子は映画を見るのと本を読むのが好きになりました。Book Wanderという子供向けの本屋さんは１９８０年開業の老舗。ここでは、毎週土曜日と日曜日に無料の絵本の読み聞かせが開催されています。そして、本を読んでくれるのは、有名な子供絵本作家さんだったりする事が度々ありますよ。

Visit Lego store
Go visit to see many cool cool oversize Lego sculptures and check the latest Lego sets at the store. This store is my son's favorite place in the city. This beautiful and 3,500-square-foot lego store is right by the flatiron. You might end up using more money than the fancy plan:)
息子の大好きな場所。それはレゴストア。このフラットアイロンにあるレゴストアはめちゃくちゃ大きくって、お店の奥にはレゴで遊べるスペースやレゴの本を読んだりする事ができます。レゴに行って、レゴストアの様子や、レゴを見るのは無料ですが、ここに行ったらタダでは帰れないかもね。
