My Favorites from Union Square Green Market

I often go to Union Square Green Market to get vegetables and snacks for my son. This time, I would like to introduce to you some of our favorite snacks.

Miagliorelli Farm

There are many shops in the green market that sell apple cider donuts. We tried almost every shop and this is our favorite. Their apple cider donuts are not too sweet, nice soft texture and taste great!

グリーンマーケットでは、いろいろなお店がアップルサイダードーナッツを販売していて、ほとんどのお店のを試した結果、ここのアップルサイダードーナッツが、甘さは控えめ、やわらかく、そして美味しい！

Roxbury Mountain Maple

Did you know that maple syrup contains calcium, manganese, potassium and magnesium? It's a natural source of beneficial antioxidants. This maple sugar nuggets is made from 100% natural maple, so of course  it tastes good, but also, it's really good for your body too! How ideal of a treat is that!?

5 Minute Make Up

I have a 3 year old boy who just started to go to pre-k. I wake up at 6:30 am Monday-Friday to make lunch and to take him to school. I don't have much time for my self, but I'm not comfortable to go out in pajama like clothes and no make-up.

Today, I'd like to introduce my quick and easy make up. It's quick to use and makes you look good. Great make-up products as well!

I usually don't wear foundation. BB cream is my everyday best friend. This bb cream makes your skin tone clean, it will cover your blemishes and look very natural. It has moisturizer, SPF42, anti aging care. I'm using BB cream to make my skin tone nice and sleek and also for moisture and nutrition at the same time. How great is that!?

NYX Cosmetics bronzer & blusher

For 5 minute quick make-up I use this bronzer and blusher after I apply BB cream on my face. The darker one for around my face line and pink one for my cheeks. it will give you a nice glow in seconds!

５分でメイクの時は、BBクリームのあとに、このブロンザーと、チークを使います。ダークの方は顔周りに。そして、ピンクの方はほほの一番高い所にのせると、顔が一気に元気に輝いたようになるよ。

MAC fluid line eye liner gel backtrack

This eyeliner is the best eye liner I have ever used. You need to use a liner brush with this. I have many different size brushes. For the 5 minute make-up, I will use a thin brush to make a natural eye line, but when I go out at night, I will use a thicker brush to make my eye make-up more dramatic like a cat's eyes.

このアイライナー最高！今まで使ってきたアイライナーのなかで一番好き！これは、アイライナー用のブラシを使ってラインを描くんやけど、私はいろんなサイズの筆を持ってるから、５分でメイクの時は細い筆を使ってナチュラルなアイメイクにするけど、夜外出する時とかは、太目のブラシを使って、キャッツアイにしたりして、いろいろな風に使えるんでとても便利。

I'm Asian but my hair is blond. So, my eyebrows are dark and my hair is blond. That's kind of cool, but I like a more natural look for now. Using this product is like coloring your eyebrow to match your hair color. It's very easy to use and it is easy to wash off with warm water. I found this product in Japan and since that time, I have become a repeat buyer even if I have to get this from Japan. I haven't found anything like this which is as easy to use and good color here..

ナチュラルな髪の毛の色はもちろん黒色やけど、今はブロンドに染めているから、メイクしなければ、髪はブロンドやけど、眉毛は黒いまま。それはそれでカッコいいと思うけど、私は、もうちょっとナチュラルなんが、今は好き。これは、日本に行った時に見つけて買ってきて、すごく使えるんで、もう何度もリピート買いしてる。お湯でもするりと落ちるのに、もちが良く、ほんと使いやすいアイテムです。今回の一押しアイテム！

Mast Brothers Chocolate

I work as a hair stylist in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I visit many different kinds of stores in Williamsburg. Mast Brothers Chocolate is really special. I can tell that the atmosphere and their products are carefully considered and made. Also, I can really feel that they care about what the customers feel.

ブルックリンのウイリアムズバーグで美容師として働いてるから、ウイリアムバーグ中のいろんなお店を見てるけど、mast brothers chocolateはいろんな意味でかなり突き抜けてます。丁寧に考え抜かれた製品とお店の雰囲気。そして、お客さんがどう思うか常に考え、お客さんにいい気分になってもらいたいって思ってるんだなってのが見えてくるお店です。

They make chocolate inside the store, so when you open the door...OMG...the chocolate aroma will melt you down..

お店の中でチョコレートを製造してるから、お店のドアを開けると、チョコレートの良い香りで自分が溶けそうになるわ。。

They always have plenty of chocolate samples. I'm so happy about that, thanks Mast brothers!

テーブルの上にはチョコレートのサンプルがたくさんあって、嬉しい！いつもありがとう！

I love chocolate so much, especially chocolate+carbohydrates! But that combo is a dangerous combo to gain weight... Regardless, when I have time between clients, I come here often to buy a combo like the chocolate chip cookies.

チョコレート大好き！特にチョコ＋炭水化物のコンビが。これって気をつけないとデブになるよな。。でも、仕事に空きができるとチョコレートチップクッキーとかを買いにちょこちょこ来てしまう。。

When I saw this package I thought They really thought about what the clients think. They carefully pack their goodies with love. Even when you buy only one thing!

このパッケージを見た時に、このお店はほんとお客様の事を気にかけてくれてるなって思った。たった、ひとつのクッキーを買っただけでも、綺麗にパックしてくれるよ。これは、アメリカでは珍しい事よ。

It was a sunny beautiful fall day. I had lunch with my lovely husband at Aurora in Williamsburg Brooklyn.

ある、気持ちいい晴れた秋の日に愛する夫とブルックリン ウイリアムズバーグにあるAuroraでランチしてきたよ。

This restaurant has a lot of greenery. The outside seating feels wonderful to be there.

このレストランは緑がいっぱいあるし、外席に座るとほんま気持ちいい。

We had the Pre-fix lunch for $20. It comes with appetizer, main dish, dessert and wine! Great deal right?

私達は＄２０の今日のランチコースをいただきました。このコースは、アペタイザー、メイン、デザート、そしてなんとワイン付きのとってもお得なコースです。

Drinking wine at lunch time during the weekday makes the day special for me... You? Anyway, they made that day special. Thanks Aurora!

The day before this Rock Mama fashion photo shoot, I got Sweatpants from Uniqlo. Inside the pants there is a thin soft fake fur lining. It's super comfortable and keeps you warm. The day before the photo shoot, I didn't plan to wear these sweatpants, but when I was sleeping, I dreamed about this sweatpants. I got this mix and match idea in my dreams!! I'm a genius:)

How To Fix Brassy Blond Hair At Home

Is your nice blond hair coloring you got at the salon getting brassy after two weeks?

When you go blond, the first thing we (I'm a hair stylist) have to do is bleach your hair. After you bleach your hair, it is usual that a clients hair gets a bit brassy. So, we use toner to cancel the brassiness. But this toner not will stay on your hair forever...

If you do not want brassy blond hair, you will need to take care of your hair at home by yourself. I'm Asian, and my natural hair is dark, but my current hair color is blond. I keep toning my hair all the time at home to keep a nice blond hair color without the brassiness.

Sure you can do it at home too. But first you will need to understand some simple color theory.

The opposite color to orange & yellow is Violet and blue violet. Because these colors are opposite/complementary, they can cancel each other out. Brassy hair has orange and yellow tones so use violet or blue violet toner! 

The products below are the products I use personally at home to avoid my blond hair coloring from turning brassy.

This is Shimmer Lights Violet Shampoo. 

I've been doing hair for more than 10 years. Every salon I have worked has this product for their back bar but not for sale to clients. So, this is our secret product :) Available at Amazon.

The next product is Aveda Blue Malva Color Conditioner. 

I've worked at an Aveda salon before. I love their products and philosophy. 

I use this product just like using regular conditioner. But when I feel my hair is really brassy, I use this as a pre-shampoo treatment. Which means I apply this on my dry or damp hair, then put a parasitic cap over my head wait about 15 minutes, then shampoo.

So this way, your brassy hair will tone well and give good moisture to your hair. Available at Amazon.

The last product is Manic Panic Virgin Snow. 

They made this product for use on hair that is already bleached to the lightest possible shade. So they say on their own web site to use this after you bleach your hair and it will make your hair as white as Andy Warhol's was :) Available at Amazon.

I'd like to say from a professional hair stylist's point of view, we can help make you more beautiful. But, if you want to continue to maintain the same "just came back from hair salon look, you have to use the right hair products at home often and take care of your hair.

Also, to use the right hair products for your hair texture and color is really really important. Ask a lot of questions about hair products next time while you get a hair cut. That way, you are getting product education, it' like buy one get one free!

明るくした髪の毛はオレンジ、黄色よりの色になりがちやけど、

やっぱり、みんな赤みの強い明るい髪は好きじゃないよな？

サロンに行った時はきれいになっても、２週間もすれば赤茶けてくる経験した事ある？

そんな方々のために髪色に赤みがでない様に綺麗に保ついろんなヘア商品があるんやけど、

いっぱいありすぎて何を使っていいか分からんよな？

私の髪はアジア人の中でもかなり暗い方やと思うけど、今現在の髪色はブロンド。

赤みがあまり出ない様に、日々いろんな事研究してるよ。

黄色や、オレンジ系の色を中和させる色は、青や、紫です。

青や紫の色が入ったシャンプーや、トリートメントがブロンド人口が多いんで

アメリカにはたくさんあります。

これらを毎回髪を洗う時に使い続けると、サロンから帰ってきたばっかりの

いい感じの髪色が長く保てるねん。

私が今回一番強く言いたかった事は、私達美容師は、綺麗になるお手伝いは出来ます。

そやけど、自宅ケアの積み重ねこそが、綺麗な髪を保つ秘訣やと思ってます。

自宅ケアをしていても、髪の質、髪の色にあった、ヘア商品を使っていないと、

効果が全く見れない事も多々あります。

自分の髪は何を必用としてるんか、

今度ヘアカット行った時に美容師さんに一杯質問してみてください。

My Current Hair Style

My profession is to make many people beautiful (hair stylist.). 

I have been a hair stylist for 13 years and it is totally my thing. I love to give interesting hair cuts to my clients and also for myself too ;). 

I change hair color often since I can do my own hair color.

This is my current hair color and hair style. 

私の職業は、人を綺麗にする事（美容師です）美容師をして１３年。美容師でいる事は自分自身でいる事っていう程、私の天職やと思ってます。

自分で自分の髪をカラーで切る様になってから、よくカラーをチェンジするようになった。

これが、最近の私のヘアカラーと、ヘアカットです。
