Be Original

When you buy a fashion item, what is important to you? I like simple, original, and unique designs. When I buy something simple I often remake it to be a little more interesting looking. For example. I got this jacket at Forever 21. I added the skull on the back. This skull used to be part of my son's onesie. My son is 4 years old now and he can not wear the onesie anymore. The skull is so cute, that I cut the skull part and kept it. I put a ribbon on the skull head to give it a feminine touch, and I sewed it on my jacket! This jacket became something special to me. This bag is also special. Hiho batik made this one of the kind bag for us. It has a Rock Mama NYC logo on it. My husband and I designed the logo. I do self expression everyday through fashion, it is fun! 

ファッションアイテムを購入する際に、あなたは何を一番重要視していますか？私は、シンプルも好きだけど、オリジナル、ちょっと変わったデザインに心が惹かれる。そして、何かシンプルな物を買ったとしても、自分でリメイクして着る事も多い。このジャケットは、フォーエバー２１で買ったんやけど、バックのどくろにリボンちゃんは、元々は付いていなくて、私が貼付けた。しかも、このどくろは、息子のロンパースの一部だった。息子が大きくなって、着れなくなったけど、可愛かったから、どくろの部分を切り取って、そしてリボンを付けて、どくろちゃんに変身させた。そしたら、このジャケットが愛着の湧く一着になった。そして、このエコバックは、世界でたった一つのRock Mama NYCオリジナルエコバック。これは、Hiho batikの方が、私の為に作ってくださったもの。私と、夫とでデザインしたRock Mama NYCのロゴ入りで、これもまたものすごく愛着があります。毎日服は着るものだから、楽しく、ファッションで自己表現していきたいな。
